Recent Sheraton Downtown Review: "Other than items below, the hotel meets or surpasses every expectations I had. The bad: 1.) 10th floor (where my room1001 is at) could use some upgrade. It looks old and dark. 2.) No wifi in-room and internet is not free other than in the lobby. Although in-room internet is faster than average. 3.) Bath tub leaks water when taking a shower even shower curtain is closed all the way. Good thing enough towels were provided. 4.) TV in the corner room can use some upgrade to flat screen. The initial room I had in the 4th floor right next to the elevator had 42 inches flat screen TV but the room I was upgraded to at 10th room only a 27 inch Tube TV. The Good: 1.) Nice front desk representative. I request to change room since the first one was on the 4th floor and didn't give me any nice view. They moved me to 10th floor corner room which has the nice city view. I requested extra towels and kitchen utensils with ease and immediate delivery. 2.) The room is really nice. Eventhough the hotel is a little bit old, the room was maintained really nice. The bed cannot be more comfortable. The sheets were and smells clean. The carpet is very well maintained. 3.) 24 hour security. The hotel is located right at downtown Los Angeles and 24 hour security is available makes the place so safe and secured. 4.) The lobby looks very clean and classy. Guest service by the lobby always had a representative ready to help. I requested extra towels from there and shortly after I got to my room, I got my warm towels. 5.) Smoking area right outside the front lobby has a comfortable and clean couch to sit. The only thing is a few hotel workers smokes there in group late night or early morning making guest uncomfortable to smoke. 6.) Overall value, hotel quality and service, I give Sheraton 4.8 out of 5. I love this hotel for proximity to my work, quality services, warm feel of the room, and classy look of the lobby."
